Email Lists for Accokeek, Maryland

We now have 3 email lists to help you connect with people locally. One is for occasional news, one is for announcements & information shared by anyone, and the most recent list is to get or give away stuff free. More detailed descriptions and forms to subscribe are below.:

Accokeek-news is an announcement list to keep you up-to-date on the goings-on in Accokeek, Maryland. This newsletter will primarily contain items pertinent to this town and surrounding area and be emailed no more than an average of once per week. It may be discontinued temporarily until we get a volunteer to help with it, in which case news will be posted on Accokeek-chat. (If the forms are not visible below, this could be a temporary problem with our list server, Topica. Please come back again later if this is a problem.)

Accokeek-chat is a conversation email list for asking questions about services, events, politics, news, shopping, and anything pertaining to the Accokeek, Maryland area. Subscribers are asked to post an introduction upon joining, telling of their interest in Accokeek.

The Aquasco to Oxon Hill Freecycle™ group is open to all who want to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away, located in the southern Prince George's County area. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door, feel free to post it. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! Nonprofit groups are also welcome to participate!

One main rule: everything posted must be free.
